This year (2023) we tried something new! A children’s spooky trail for Halloween! In exchange for a £2 ticket (entering the grown up) into Crabbies Raffle, kiddies had the chance to find 10 QR codes hidden in the high street shops, each revealing a new spooky character. After all 10 are found, you are then guided to a final place for a small prize.

Crabbies Christmas raffle

In 2021 we got them back down the high-street! 2022 we extended them back to their full glory!

As always, for us to continue to add to the Christmas twinkle we need your help!

We are looking to raise £2500 for maintenance and some new additions to help keep the lights twinkling! This includes machinery to shape the bases of the trees and to maintain the existing lights and silhouette’s

As a group of volunteers, not funded by the council, we struggle year on year. This period being particularly hard, with the continued cost of living rising at unprecedented rates, we feel it is even more important to bring light and visitors to the village through the darker months. The joy they bring is worth more than the money it costs!

To give a little back, we are looking to run extra fund raising events where light is not the only thing given in return!

Look out for our pixies selling raffle tickets from village vendors and at weekends during November in the High Street (outside the workmens club 10-2ish) with cash prizes

With the raffle, there is also a Lucky dip for kids with festive gifts!

We are also looking into a festive family film night this year (2023)- please email us with film suggestions!
